"I LOVE MY DUCKS!"

Brrrrrrr. It was cold in Autzen Stadium tonight. The windchill took the temp down to 25 degrees. Thank you HOTTIES for the warmth you provided for our hands. When we found out that the temps were dropping below freezing, I had second thoughts about leaving Da Boys in the car for the duration of the game, so we took a chance and left them in the hotel room even though we did not have their crate with us. We made sure to unpack and scatter some of our things in the room and on the bed, hoping that the scent of familiar things would help them feel at home.

Just before kick off, when the stadium was already busting with it's new record attendance of 59597, the famous YouTube viral clip was played on the big screen and the the place rocked! From there it only got better. Even though the game had it's ups and down, in the end the Ducks took the Rose Bowl bid. GO DUCKS! Needless to say John is ecstatic! I think he is on his computer right now looking into flight options to Pasadena. The one T-shirt I wanted to get to remember this year's football season is the "I LOVE MY DUCKS" shirt. Unfortunately it was sold out everywhere. We hope that there will be another wave of shirts printed up now that the season has been extended a few weeks.


When we got back to our room, Da Boys were very happy to see us and ready for a spin around the block. The only thing that they got into that I should have put up was the complementary coffee and tea packages. Phew, at least they did not try to dig their way out of the room. Now as far a any barking is concerned, I have no clue what happened but the we presumed that everyone would probably be at the game, so who cares? We did of course leave the TV on so that they could enjoy the game as well. Ha!
